What were some instances where rruns of a show form one network aire on another network, a few were NBC airing daytime repeats of Full House in the summer of 1991, and CBS aired quite a few shows from other networks in its late night such as Rockford Files, Quincy, Hart to Hart, Hunter and others and Flintstones, Johnny Quest, and Jetsons having Saturday morning reruns on NBC and CBS.

There are many Saturday morning cartoons & live action series that fit this category.....too many to list....

NBC ran reruns of both the Jay North "Dennis the Menace" and "Make Room for Daddy", which originally aired on CBS.

cd

Father Knows Best: first-run CBS and NBC, daytime repeats ABC

The Monkees: first-run NBC, Saturday morning repeats ABC and CBS

Dan August: first-run ABC, repeats CBS

Hawk: first-run ABC, repeats NBC

My World, and Welcome To It: first-run NBC, repeats CBS

The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour: first-run CBS, some hours repeated as part of The Smothers Brothers Summer Show on ABC in 1970

The Avengers: first-run ABC, late-night repeats CBS

The Saint: first-run NBC, late night repeats CBS

When CBS reran four episodes of The Jack Benny Program in the late '70s, were any of the episodes from the final 1964-65 season on NBC?

The "second season" (1986-1987) of Disney's "The Wuzzles" aired on ABC and consisted of reruns of the previous season's 13 episodes, which originally aired on CBS.

Reruns of "The Lone Ranger" (ABC) aired Saturday afternoons
on CBS from 1953-60 and on NBC in the 1960-61 season.

"The Roy Rogers Show" (NBC, 1951-57) aired on CBS's Saturday
morning lineup from 1961 to 1964.

"Sky King" (NBC, 1951-52; ABC, 1952-54) reran on CBS's Saturday
afternoon lineup from 1959 to 1966.

"My Friend Flicka" started as a black-and-white show on CBS in the
1956-57 season; taking advantage of the fact that the show had been
filmed in color, NBC aired in in color in the 1957-58 season. It later reran
on ABC (1959-60), CBS (1961-62), ABC (1962-63), and CBS (1964-66);
the 1959-60 reruns aired on a late weekday afternoon; the rest of the time
they aired on Saturday afternoons.

I don't think anyone has mentioned "The Bob Cummings Show" (a/k/a
"Love That Bob!"), which went back and forth between NBC and CBS from
1955-59. Daytime reruns aired on ABC from 1959-61.

Also, "The Restless Gun" (NBC, 1957-59) reran on ABC in the 1959-60 season
on weekdays and Saturday mornings; "The Texan" (CBS, 1958-60) aired weekdays
on ABC (1960-62) and on Saturday mornings from February to May 1962.

I didn't even know ABC aired any episodes of the CBS series -- I thought after its cancellation on CBS, it was never seen again until appearing on E! in the 1990s.

Another series to add is the "NBC Mystery Movie" -- some of its components, including "Columbo", "McMillan and Wife", "McCloud" and "Banacek", were repeated on the "CBS Late Movie".

Bullwinkle (1961-1962 on NBC, reruns on ABC for a while during the 1960's and 1970's, off and on on NBC for a few years during the 1980's)

In both cases, it was an attempt by each network to cash in on the box-office popularity of new movies of of the series' respective stars; NBC aired 'Bosom Buddies' as 'Splash' was making, er, a big splash in theaters in '84, and CBS dusted off 'Police Squad!' during the summer of '88, when 'The Naked Gun' was in release.
I think NBC's 'Buddies' episodes featured that 'other' theme song which replaced 'My Life' on the syndicated reruns.

Didn't "The Real McCoys" air on CBS daytime for a few years?

We can't count this one, as it was a first-run for its final season, 1962-63, on CBS (after 5 seasons on ABC). I think I read somewhere that CBS got "TRM" so it could be shown in daytime reruns in the future.

The same for repeats of "Hawk" on NBC in 1976 and "Dan August" on CBS in 1973 -- both repeats cashed in on Burt Reynold's early days before he made it big on thed big screen.

I remember the CBS Police Squad! reruns actually airing in 1991, during the theatrical run of The Naked Gun 2 1/2.

Wasn't it during that summer during a time slot that was used for filler with episodes of different short run comedy shows and possibly pilots that season? I think that reruns of Rocky and Bullwinkle were possibly run in that same slot as well.

In 1993 when the Fugitive movie with Harrison Ford came out, NBC ran the first episode and the two part final episode of the ABC series with David Janssen over three nights.

The Rocky & Bullwinkle that was on CBS was a one time special. I saw it. It was the entire 4-part story "The Last Angry Moose." I cannot recall what other cartoons (if any, like Fractured Fairy Tales/Dudley Do-Right/Peabody) were on the 30-minute special.

Even though it ran one time, I guess this one counts!

MAKE ROOM FOR DADDY (THE DANNY THOMAS SHOW)
In prime-time: First 4 seasons on ABC, remaining 7 seasons on CBS.
Daytime network showings: All on NBC.

Tiny Toon Adventures premiered in syndication, but moved to Fox after two seasons, including new episodes and repeats of the syndicated shows.

Similarly, sister show Animaniacs moved to The WB after two seasons on Fox (including repeats of the Fox episodes).

I think we will find that a lot of cartoons fit in this category.

If we are talking about syndication-then-network, the one cartoon that immediately comes to mind for me is the animated "Dennis the Menace" which started out syndie, then had a brief run on CBS in the 1990s.

Maybe the most famous syndie-to-network series would be "Mister Ed" (CBS).
