Rewind 949

What do you think of it so far? It's more Adult Hits than Rhythmic AC? Is that smart? Q102 - whats gonna happen for them? Remain Adult CHR? Get hotter and go CHR?

Is Rewind worthy of being called one of the best in the city?

Rewind is the #7 rated station right behind Q102. Not bad for a new station. Q102 will remain Adult CHR for now. Why would they change? They are doing well enough in their demo.

Not bad, kind of a mix of the old Mojo and a straight ahead 80s station. My pet peeve is the audio is down in the mud, when I flip from another station I have to turn it up. It doesn't stand out.

Rewind's audio was great last time I was in town. Did they mess with it? And has MOJO made some changes, or is this a massive freq/call letter confusion problem?

If you really don't like processing it could be fine, but the signal has no "punch" and seems they dialed it down very shortly after the flip. I literally have to turn the volume up if I punch up Rewind from another station.

I drove through Cincinnati from Texas to Pittsburgh 2 times now, and each time I make it a point to listen to Rewind 949 exclusively. The imaging, the way "94 - - 9" is pronounced - and more - it's an example of great BRANDING the station is doing. I predict great PPM success!!!

If this is the case below, WRRM, and WGRR may take another blow in ratings.

PPM encoders are supposed to be shipped soon. Biggest losers in other markets are minority formats and talk. Don't want to deal with the pager looking toy.

Opinions on changes to ratings and the changes to radio as a result?

I understand at least 1 or 2 stations already have the PPM equipment transmitting. But I know Cumulus does not subscribe to Arbitron in othermarkts, if thats true they'll take a huge hit in Indy. You can only beg people to believe your number one for so long after your stations stop appearing in the book.
