Same 200 songs, what changed besides no web site?

Would that be Vic Aderhold the original Rock 105 GM? At the time, WFYV was co-owned and co-located with WPDQ-AM 1460 and was owned by Ragan Henry's Broadcast Enterprises Network, Inc. (BENI) and was later sold to Norman Wain's Metroplex Communications. I don't believe Vic was ever an outright owner although he may have held an equity position in the station.

It gets confusing to me with all the ways the current Cox roster has flipped and flopped around the past 20 years, not to mention all the different companies that have owned them before Cox.

Back on topic; as redneck as some people always thought of Rock 105 (and their audience I suppose) it'll surely be missed. It seems like every time I went to the mechanic, the laundrymat, a dive bar or even a pool hall it was playing in the background. I even remember a 12 year old kid telling me "My daddy raised me on this station"... I believed him. Could be true for many thousands of Jacksonvillians, since what, the early 80's? Of course we can all build a playlist on youtube but can we hear Rick Tracy or Joanie Maverick setting the stage for us or telling us who invented the rock and roll horns? I can listen to the Scorpions, Pink Floyd or Ozzy anytime I want, but I'll miss the personalities who helped define that station over the years now that the Rock has rolled.
