FYI. I will self correct myself if I"m wrong on one thing. PPM may have rolled out in October, which would make the November PPM data valid. The 2008 Summer Book data is correct though. I just don't remember when PPM rolled out.
radio_insider said:No, I said the last book, not a trend, meaning a 3 month period (this would have been the summer book which would be July, August, and September) and came out in October. And here is another little problem with the post you referenced. PPM's posted 11-03-08? PPM rolled out 11-03-08. Good post though, you're obviously on top of your game.
RMS was only on for 6 weeks of PPM ratings. To say that RMS doesn't play well under PPM is a bit much. Notice The Ticket fell too. Like everything else, when PPM rolled out, it had flaws. If you want to get technical, go look at their November distribution, especially in the number of PPMs distributed and duration people held them. Then look at how D/FW stations faired in the first month vs. other major markets. If you have a brain, you can come to a logical conclusion.
I did notice you didn't want to discuss the fact that advertisers signed new contracts with Russ doing spots for them and at that point he was facing a felony. Kind of flies in the face of your argument that nobody will touch him. And while you're doing your research, tell Nike they've made a huge mistake doing a huge ad campaign with an accused rapist. Oops.

His advertisers stayed with him when he was charged with a felony (and even signed new deals except for one), but they won't touch him because of a "no contest" plea? Try again. And as far as ratings go, someone needs to go back and look at the last book he completed. #2 Men 25-54 (.1 behind Hardline) #1 persons 18-34, 25-54, Men 18-34 and Men 18+. Yeah, that's a real slide.
#1 persons 25-54????

The PPM's posted 11-3-08 show this:
PERSONS 25-54
1 - 1 KLNO
4t- 2 KHKS
3 - 3 KZPS
4t- 4 KSCS
2 - 5 KPLX
10t-6t KKDA-FM
4t-6t KLUV
16t-8 KESS
7 -9t KVIL
12-9t KDMX
8 - 11 KSOC
9 - 12 KLTY
14t-13 KJKK
13-14t KEGL
14t-14t WBAP
Then check out page 2 of that thread...
check out KLLI's M25-54 numbers. Morning drive, top 10, afternoon drive, top 10. Middays? Not even in the top 20....
Now i don't know what you're claiming as "the last book he completed" waqs, but since this thread
http://boards.radio-info.com/smf/index.php?topic=115672.0
announcing his departure is dated 12/8/08, I don't thik it's unreasonable to look at a November PPM release as close to the end...
So here you are, a Russ apologist, claiming he was #1 men 25-54. And yet these I am from 7 months ago saying he was top 10. And somehow nobody corrected me?
They didn't correct me in multiple posts?

Last trend they were down to the 6-8 range. Don't remember where exactly, but I think it was Jagger 8th, B&S 21st and Russ 6th with M25-54.
Maybe David or Domingo can post the actual numbers, and we'll see who is really 'dead ass wrong'.
