RO selling off the Mix signals

And could the end of WLNK provide an opportunity for WHQC to flip to Hot AC? Or are they better off as the number 2 CHR against 95.1? Is there a need for 2 CHR stations with similar formats? Although 96.1 differentiates just a bit with a few older classics mixed in. Would the Fred show also fit on Hot AC if they chose? Maybe hire Matt, Liz, Holly for other dayparts? Just speculating. They may prefer to keep 96.1 as is. But maybe another opportunity for WLNK will reemerge elsewhere later down the road.
Too much overlap with WLKO.

I can’t stay up to record the ending, if I could I would, hopefully someone will. But I wouldn’t expect much. When heritage WSPA-FM down in GSP was sold, they flipped on a Sunday at 11:59pm and it was in the middle of “You and Me” by Lifehouse, capping off an unceremonious hour that was business as usual. I expect the same from Mix.

Meanwhile, here’s a final legal ID from me from 7pm tonight.

Their legal id is wrong. Their COL is Weddington now. It doesn’t matter at this point.

I’m sure OSF is happy that Mix is done, so now they can move into a real studio. OSF, Praise and Block are in small converted offices due to the lack of space.

Can someone record it?
i'll be doing a recording in the form of using my 2 iPhones: one to record on standby with one radio to either WLNK 107.9 or WBT-HD2 (which i'm sure gets its feed from WLNK and not WMXG) for their flip to BBN, and another to record a separate radio to WMXG 99.3 flip to Augusta Radio Fellowship Institute (note that i've been having this plan in my head for a few weeks now, so i suppose tonight's the night that i'll put that into play)

now i haven't made much of a profile of myself here since i am new to using this site, but i'll be uploading under my YT channel JayCLTWXEAS (which on there i mainly film just weather radio/EAS alert captures, but stuff like filming a station format switchoff can be part of my "miscellaneous" content)

The last song was "Killer Queen" by 5 Seconds of Summer. The song faded down a few seconds after midnight and 100.9 went off the air... static now. I can't pickup 99.3 from here in Kannapolis.

Praise is now on 107.9 HD2, and WFNZ still on HD3. I think they should move FNZ to HD2 and cut off HD3. Praise is already on WOSF HD2, and WOSF and WBT are on the same tower. Not adding any coverage.

Putting Praise on 107.9’s HD might be the dumbest thing they’ve done. Where exactly is it reaching that 105.3’s HD isn’t that matters? All it’s doing is creating more clutter. I agree, shut the HD2 off. You can have a HD1 and HD3 if they’re worried about messing with people’s presets, I’ve seen it done several times.

Is Praise still on 610 AM as well? Or are they running another endless loop on 610 like 1110?

Praise is currently on 610 AM, WBT-FM HD2, WOSF HD2 and the 102.5 translator (W273DA). Whenever they sell the land for 610, they’re going to have to move the 102.5 translator because it’s there as well.

I’m not sure how to look it up, but the HD signals don’t even operate at the same power level. I’m sure the HD range is almost identical with it being on the same tower. They can save some money by turning WBT-FM HD3 off. I don’t think it makes sense to drop HD2 and keep HD3.
