RO selling off the Mix signals

i'll be doing a recording in the form of using my 2 iPhones: one to record on standby with one radio to either WLNK 107.9 or WBT-HD2 (which i'm sure gets its feed from WLNK and not WMXG) for their flip to BBN, and another to record a separate radio to WMXG 99.3 flip to Augusta Radio Fellowship Institute (note that i've been having this plan in my head for a few weeks now, so i suppose tonight's the night that i'll put that into play)

now i haven't made much of a profile of myself here since i am new to using this site, but i'll be uploading under my YT channel JayCLTWXEAS (which on there i mainly film just weather radio/EAS alert captures, but stuff like filming a station format switchoff can be part of my "miscellaneous" content)

Thanks for the heads-up, although personally (myself) delayed. :D) I'll check out the YT channel, first chance I get, sounds interestin'.

Praise has WBT listed in the legal id now so doubt it.
It ends with “WBT HD2” with no mention of the required “FM” or city of license. I swear it’s amateur hour for whoever is doing these IDs.

100.9 is still static as of 2:33 am

Real IDs have been a thing of the past for some time now, most places, unfortunately. Most folk say callsign in COL, but that's not legal, even though most folk think it is.

Praise is currently on 610 AM, WBT-FM HD2, WOSF HD2 and the 102.5 translator (W273DA). Whenever they sell the land for 610, they’re going to have to move the 102.5 translator because it’s there as well.

Gotcha. Wow, that's a lotta small (IMHO) outlets for one station/format.

99.3 WMXG is ID'ing as
'WILF Monroeville' this morning.

WHAT? Is that the parent station of that GNN feed? IDK, just askin'. First place I ever heard GNN, was on a fishing trip to the Coast (not the Beach), back in like October of 1997, reckon it was the Harkers (sp) Island station, on what, 100.3 maybe. Only thing I caught was the IDS I recorded LOL, oh and met some folk from a church in a neighboring town back home, who sent me one of their choir's tapes.

Again, incorrect. When a CP is issued, it will be listed like on their sister station WFNZ-FM. There is no CP listed on that application. See below.

You are arguing with someone who actually uses the FCC's systems.

And you're wrong.

You're using an outdated search based on the obsolete CDBS database system. The FCC now uses the LMS database, and if you do a search in LMS (or just click on the link I provided) you will see the CP.

Again - I do these filings for a living. The way I know that an application for a minor mod has been granted is that LMS sends me an email notifying me that my application has been granted and that the authorization (the CP) is attached.

There is no such thing as a granted application without a CP.

I think I first heard it on 96.7 FM in Myrtle Beach, though it might have been 91.7 in Florence. That Florence station I heard back when Loy 92 was beautiful music but I wasn't able to pick it up as soon as I wanted.

105.3 FM WGHJ used to be a beach music and oldies station in Whiteville. It has a great signal all the way from Bennettsville until 105.5 Hank FM messes it up near MB. I wish something more could have been done with the signal.

Can you link when you do this?

Wikipedia calls it WLNK-FM. Is that also wrong?
When a station changes calls, there's a little wiggle room in the FCC processes. A station can't legally change calls until the date it specifies in its application. For 100.9, that was May 14, so it can use the new calls at any point it chooses to.

There's no "license to cover" process for a call change.

However, as for the COL, it is still Indian Trail until the CP is built out and a license to cover is filed. It would actually not be correct for them to ID as Weddington until that happens.

What I mean is the legal station ID in that video was WLNK, and the Wikipedia article is WLNK-FM.
