I am not a country fan but can take it in small doses if I happen to be listening when the right type of songs are played but scanning the dial yesterday I must say I heard Robby Bridges on Cat Country doing an incredible intro talk up that had to have gone on about 20 seconds and personified what exciting radio used to be.It was mainly a play on words and I don't recall exactly what he said and am sure he planned it as it wasn't something anyone could roll out off the top of his head.Granted it was just an example but I have to say I'm coming to believe he's in the minority when it comes to people who actually enjoy doing radio from the on-the-air point of view while the majority of this comatose market may enjoy it from the point of view of physically being in a radio station irregardless of what they're actually accomplishing.Any thoughts?
