Robby Bridges and power jocking in the new millennium

I am not a country fan but can take it in small doses if I happen to be listening when the right type of songs are played but scanning the dial yesterday I must say I heard Robby Bridges on Cat Country doing an incredible intro talk up that had to have gone on about 20 seconds and personified what exciting radio used to be.It was mainly a play on words and I don't recall exactly what he said and am sure he planned it as it wasn't something anyone could roll out off the top of his head.Granted it was just an example but I have to say I'm coming to believe he's in the minority when it comes to people who actually enjoy doing radio from the on-the-air point of view while the majority of this comatose market may enjoy it from the point of view of physically being in a radio station irregardless of what they're actually accomplishing.Any thoughts?

Personality Does Matter! I hope personality based radio will return to its heyday. To me it makes the difference in how a station sounds.Cue card reads and canned drops don't do it in my opinion.Enter a room where someone is fun and upbeat, soon the whole room is uplifted. Turn the dial and find someone who is fun and upbeat and you end up upbeat too.
______________
It's not the size of the tower.....
It's how you use it.

Robby Bridges is without a doubt one of the most talented jocks in the market. His passion and enthusiasm comes across in every break. One of the last real jocks.

The only jock who makes me want to talk up the intros in my head while listening, & he gets all the personality across without any sacrifice when it comes to selling the station. Now if more people would expand their musical horizons & get into country they'd have less to complain about when it comes to radio in Providence.
