Do you have WAVES Diamond or Platinum? If so there's a "Robbie" fx with the Morphoder plug.
______________

CEP has a variety of differnet Flangers (Effects > Delay Effects > flangers) that can give you a bare bones robo-voice. If you're well versed with CEP you might try to use the Vocoder effect in the multitrack screen to mate a voice with a particular robotic sound that you like...that's always treated me well.

Lol watch for that server to be shut down shortly ;) QUICK GET THERE!

Re: No no..try THIS!

I have a program (that I found thanks to this board, IIRC) called Sh*ttalker (minus the asterisk) that I've found to be the best robot voice program yet. I don't have a link to it, but I'm pretty sure it'll come up in a Google search. There are several different ways to vary a handful of vocal aspects, and you can save phrases for future playback. Really handy for any robot voice you need. I believe it was originally designed for making prank phone calls, but I've used it for about a year now for any robot voice application I may come across. It's text-to-speech engine may not be as accurate as the online program Je... er, um Mike posted, but if you fiddle around with not-so-phonetical spellings, you can pretty much get exactly what you want out of it. As much as I've tried, I can't get the online program to do that.

Post 917 dedicated to 91.7 WUOM, Ann Arbor. Not the best public station I've ever come across, but it's okay.
______________

SimpleText on Classic Mac

Got a friend with a Mac through his prod board? The bare bones word processor called SimpleText is bundled with OS 9.x and earlier. ANYTHING you type can then be voiced through the drop down "sounds" menu. There are several VERY nice robot voices on that menu. In fact, once you hear them, you'll probably remember having heard them before--this software has been around quite a while! The voices are top notch. Better than the link below... although I've used that link for some things as well.

Re: SimpleText on Classic Mac

The SimpleText engine is exactly the same as Shittalker, which is mentioned in a post below. Shittalker, however, runs on Windows. It's free and a Google search will turn it up. I think the current version is 1.2.

Cool... I'll have to try it out Monday!
