I believe brad and brit were talking about Madonna'a impending induction (I know, insert middle finger into mouth, initiate gag reflex), and how such an induction raises serious questions about the legitimacy of that organization. That's certainly a legit subject for debate, since most people assume that the hall was put together by fans of rock legends--it wasn't. Its a private, monolithic structure which annoints worthy candidates for induction. There is no public input, such as ballotting for an all-star game, or sportswriters selecting hall of fame inductees. The point here, I think, is that the people who run the rock hall are free to do whatever they want, since it is a private corporate entity; but honestly, they should just call it the "Popular Music" hall of fame, or something to that effect.
