The Zone has dropped 60 minutes from Jim Rome's daily 180, allowing for a fresher Dan Patrick and some belt-tightening on local hours. Apparently, the nightly (when there's no play-by-play) two hours of Dan Patrick has proved popular enough that they've moved the delay on his show to a just after it's happened slot of 10-12 a.m. That means they're now airing only two hours of Rome (which proves there is a God). Then they pulled the belt tighter by consolidating those 10 a.m. one-hour shows with the 2 p.m. one-hour shows, to get just one set of 5 shows to air at 2 p.m. M-F. Liz Allison, who had a show in each of those time periods, gets the Monday 2 p.m. slot, then adds a 2-hour Saturday midday program (which is probably better timing for her NASCAR audience).
