Rosie to fill void when Oprah leaves TV

Six months and she will be gone. The "queen of nice" schtick has gotten old. Now, she's just out to piss off as many people as possible.
It's worth noting that she shredded her "queen of nice" reputation about the time her previous show ended. This was about 2002 or so. This was also about the time that she "came out" and got the butch haircut. She later claimed that the butch haircut was a "big mistake" (well, DUH!) and that she "thought everyone knew" that she was lesbian. Apparently, she forgot about her own fawning over Tom Cruise. Evidently, she wanted him jumping up and down on HER couch!

How about having surprise guest Tom Selleck jumping on Rosie's couch?

Now THAT would be a ratings grabber...

As much as I dislike Rosie and as much as I will make it a point NOT to watch such a show, I also have to admit that she still has a following. There is a large enough group of female viewers with questionable taste who find her entertaining to make such a show pretty successful. I wouldn't go so far as to say she'll fill the void when Oprah leaves [unless you're talking in terms of cubic yards :D] - in that she lacks the universal appeal. But she would draw enough to make it worthwhile for a syndicator to give it a try.

Yeah, I despise her - but I am not part of the crowd that programmers are trying to attract with a show like this anyhow. ::)

I find Rosie very entertaining and this is a show that I would make an effort to watch.

I can't wait until Oprah is FINALLY gone!!! I've always thought she was a waste of airtime and her departure from daytime tv is loooong overdue.

I find them both annoying. I do agree that Rosie is one of the few people big enough to fill Oprah's void.

I have a better idea: How about Tom Selleck jumping on my couch?
