The problem is that very few advertisers want to be on a station that only covers a tiny piece of the market.Still covers hundreds of thousands of listeners. Still a market for it.
Not sellable market as a commercial radio. Still a market for it with Jesus. The problem is that very few advertisers want to be on a station that only covers a tiny piece of the market.
So they are limited to local direct accounts that only operate in the signal areas. How many of those are there?
Exactly why he should have just let it go, I hate VCY but he’s not going to do any better. Not sellable market as a commercial radio. Still a market for it with Jesus.
Only if some other religious broadcaster decides to wade into this mess and bid higher than VCY's bidExactly why he should have just let it go, I hate VCY but he’s not going to do any better.
EMF technically does not have a full market signal for SFO, KLVS is spotty in large sections of San Francisco Proper.Only if some other religious broadcaster decides to wade into this mess and bid higher than VCY's bid
Whoever buys will have to get full assurance that Crazy Ed, the former owner is going to stop suing everyone. Not sellable market as a commercial radio. Still a market for it with Jesus.
I don't think anyone can give that assurance. If a tree falls in the forest, chances are Crazy Ed will sue. His license plate number is rumored to be LITAG8.Whoever buys will have to get full assurance that Crazy Ed, the former owner is going to stop suing everyone.
The big hole in coverage for KDFC is in the Diablo Valley. 92.7 isn't going to help that. If USC waved enough cash at Alpha, 92.1 could theoretically be a possibility.I still think KDFC should buy the signal and sell 90.3. The signal is better in the East Bay so they could actually hear the station.
Jesus turned water into wine, surely he could turn a class A into a class C1Give the dead station three days and maybe it will rise again
The problem is that listener support increases with listener age as a general rule. That means that very youth oriented formats have a harder time getting listener support than a station that appeals to those over 40 or over 50 or more.I always thought San Francisco could support a listener supported non commercial dance radio station.
Or, to state it another way, the younger potential listeners are actually out dancing. The problem is that listener support increases with listener age as a general rule. I wish we would have more non-commercial oldies stationsThe problem is that listener support increases with listener age as a general rule. That means that very youth oriented formats have a harder time getting listener support than a station that appeals to those over 40 or over 50 or more.
... sounds like a BeeGees song from the late 70's.Or, to state it another way, the younger potential "listeners are actually out dancing".
