Rumors or change of minds?

yes At one point the station was going to be Named Viva a exact replica of the one in Atl but they decided to wait a bit and make a slot fussion into a new format and eliminate de reggeton and hip hop mega was at one poing playing...Mega sounds very different it droped the Latino and proud and the djs only speak spanish the thing i did have a discusion about and was not thrilled about was that we were going to continue playing english commercials on a new all spanish stations but that will only last till the end of the month of october.Be pacient more and more changes will be in place and we will be a pop rock ac spanish station.
 
Well that really sucks, I thought they would play Regional Mexican. And why cant we have a bilingual station in houston?

As far as I have listened, I have yet to notch down any changes. They dropped the "Latino and Proud" a long time ago. The DJ's (not including the morning show) were all speaking majority spanish. I have also noticed that some of them are not good at fluent spanish, especially that jenny fly girl. She needs to practice it a bit more. So far, no changes.
Your story is quite confusing my friend. I remember a while back you said that the name would be new and that if anyone got the name, you would admit to it. I said Viva, but you didn't say I was right! So seriously now, what's happening? You seem to be sort of playing with all of us now. Your story is not fitting in now.
 
nothing is going to happend, it was all a rumor, mega had its changes already. Old subject Mega went for alright to sorry. And Clear Channel let go of The Mexicanz, why? Supposly that was the reason the mornig shows ratings when down. And now they are on Party 104.9 You think if The Mexicanz had low rating Univision would hire them? Noooo. So Mega Sucks because of the music they play not because of them talking spanglish.

I don't think they are rumors. Something is going to happen (actually somehting already happened) They are indeed changing, it may not be significantly big enough, but they are changing, they started by giving themseves a face lift on their logo. What's next? Something is up at Clear Channel
 
So if Mega changes to the same format XO has, will it be better than XO?? And what will happend to XO? Will it go of the air? Will La Nortena be on 107.9?
 
Probably not, Let's not jump horses here just yet, we are still yet to see the complete change.
 
it's going to flip to latino classic rock....with an heavy emphasis on Daddy Yankee and Pitbull doing spanish covers of Slipknot tunes

I would listen to that except I cannot imagine those guys doing the heavy metal growl you hear in some Slipknot songs.
 
Well today at 1 I heard a Intocable song, Intocable being a Regional Mexican band. So are they going to include Norteno? Trying to compete againts Estereo Latino also?

KLVE in LA has also played Intocable; it has been a pop / AC station for 30 years... they also play Conjunto Primavera, Pepe Agular, Vicente Fernandez, Marco Antonio Solis, Liberación... and they are also still an AC station.
