Mr. Martin has been indicted on a three-count, Class A misdemeanor complaint. He faces up to a year in jail and a fine of up to $4,000.

Its typical that if someone is sentenced to one year in jail that they will do two years probation. That's how the system works. Yes he will probably have to pay 4 grand in fines for a charge like this. I doubt they will make him pay anything less. What makes you think he will face anything more on a Class A misdemeanor.
