Funny... they have been gone for nearly two weeks yet I don't think that anyone has posted a single complaint or comment. Do you miss the Russ Martin Show? Are you listening to "best of"? ;D
 
becuz he is a tool. You have to have an audience to miss someone ::)

I listen to RMS & Leykis most every day, doesn't really bother me when either show takes days off and old shows are replayed. But when it comes to some of other shows on 105.3........it's good that I have 97.1, 102.1 & CD's to fill the gap in the rest of 105.3's day.

P&K.........don't really know if they currently suck or not. I decided I didn't like them long ago & haven't listened since so I don't know.

BDH.........Nope. I listened to the show once.........and never again......it just sucked for me.

Jagger......I had hoped I would like the show so I would have something to listen to in the mornings, but it's taking a while for me to really decide if I like it or not. I will probably give it more chances.

Lovelines......Nope, not funny anymore without Adam Carolla.
 
I was once a very loyal RMS listener but in late 2006 maybe early 2007 he sort of became an old man who bitches about everything. It just became boring. It's always the same thing every day. His bar. His band. His girlfriend. I could no longer tell when it was a new show or a rerun.

If I wanted to listen to a bitchy old man I'd go visit my father.
 
Is it possible the majority of his listeners have better things to do than get on obscure radio message boards and bitch?

Russ' listeners? No, frankly I don't think that's possible at all.

I agree, Russ Martin's day are pretty much over in Dallas. Maybe Russ should join up with that J. R. guy who always calls in and whines about his job.

I think Gary was a character created by Dan Lewis...or maybe its one of his personalities...

QFT. I still listen, but I've noticed what you're sayin'.
When you listen to the Best Of reruns, you do notice he was a bit less Grumpy Old Man and more mostly pleasant Pleasant-Grove-boy-done-good-in-the-local-market having some fun doing and talking about some nutty stuff.

I've lurked on the boards for some time, and I don't think he's in the dire straits several folks on here portray him to be in. Seems like there's quite a bit of "Muppet Show Old Men in the Balcony" (as described by another poster) negativity on here - maybe it's more of that...

Other than that, love this forum and enjoy your thoughts - negative or positive. Cheers.
 
I fing it quite funny that everyone on here that posts bad things about the RMS knows everything about that show also. You guys hate the show and say you never listen, but you know what is goin on a daily basis. Hmmmmm.........
 
Heck I find it interesting, that when one trashes Russ, there is a new nic, or nics who suddenly appear and defend him ( present company excluded and proud)

An interesting observation from someone who registered their nickname yesterday. I've used the same one here for well over five years, and I agree that there have been new posters who appear whenever the RMS is discussed. But can you unequivocally state that you have never posted under multiple usernames?
 
Apologies for having been such a lurker for a while. I guess I just finally felt compelled to respond to comments about one of the three radio programs I actually make an effort to listen to during the day: WBAP Morning Show, Rush Limbaugh, Russ Martin Show.

Heck, it might have even been a mention by Russ that turned me on to this board. I'm not a radio pro by any stretch of the imagination, so I feel it's smarter to read and learn from folks on this board, thus the LOW post count.

Back to reading; stay tuned for post #3 sometime next year... ;D ;)
