#1 doesn't carry the same weight when you've had three down books and have gone from being a 35-55 station to a 45-65 station over the last few years. Let's put it this way: in terms of ratings, the station is far from being in the toilet (the working environment, however, is a different story), but it's closer to the sewer water than it would like to be.
The Niners will make for a good marketing hook, sell as a prestige buy and improve anemic weekend ratings. Then again, twice nothing is still nothing.
