Since that is what alot of people like but they made it in away that it would be different then KYGO and it would make money. Tons of people have said GOOOD Bye to Kygo becasue it is a well boring station to listen to. They don't put any creatvity into KYGO at all! Do you remember how many times they had to change their country format in the past 5 yrs??? More then 92.5 has that's for sure, and the PD if you read on Denverradio.net asked the listeners to call in and suggest what they want KYGO to become.. Just like they did several yrs go for KS 104 remember that? So apparently KYGO isn't doing that hot either and they are having maybe alot more problems then THE WOLF is having.
That said, has it ever occured to you WRIKER that the PD @ KYGO is just simply trying to get LISTENER FEEDBACK????
I wouldn't be surprised at all if they either kept the current format on 92.5 or changed it, after all it is his station and once the research is over and they find out why The wolf is either doing poorly in the music or the finance or something they might make a a change in the station.
There's NO WAY that 92.5 will be a Country station come December 31. My two bets are still either all-news (e.g. WINS in NYC) or all-sports (Even if they buy the piece of crap parked on AM 1510 in the process). A third would be a Progressive FM Talker (But with Air America being on Clear Channel's AM 760, a Progressive FM Talk format might be hard to pull off IMO).

Mind you, I'm not attacking you personally. I'm just looking at things from a different perspective here.

Now over to you Johnnie_Radio - WTF was up with the use of ALL CAPS in your last post? Haven't you forgotten that ALL CAPS = SHOUTING??? Sure, use 'em to emphasize something (Heaven knows I do that all the time on here). But don't make an entire post like that. Talk about bad board etiquette.

Anyhow....JMO....

Cheers :D

Humm let me see what is the date now? Humm well as far as i can tell it is passed new yrs eve and day! And what's this??? OMG no way, 92.5 Is oh man still 92.5 THE WOLF! Now what were you saying about come December 31st of it being another format? Humm i think you need to check your prediction books again bro casue you were wrong. In fact oddly it is still owned by CBS Radio(I guess it still needs to be approved from the FCC or something).
I think you need to check the POST DATE as I referring to December 31, 2009 - Not 2008 as that date came & went.
All caps??? I think when you wrote this you were drunk because as i looked it over the whole thing isn't even in caps.. Re-read before responding it would make you llook like less of an idiot when you do respond.
I wasn't even referring to you here. Lemme quote (And REPEAT!) what I was saying so it's abundantly clear to you....

Note the name in the bold, underlined & italicized text? Does that look like your name? The simple fact that I commented to Johnnie's use to all-caps while responsing to your post really shouldn't matter and therefore should be irrelevant.

But if you insist, I shall waste the additional bandwith, disk space, board space, server space, etc....etc....etc. to make a seperate post on something that's completely off topic just so...

A) It is abundantly clear to you as to whom such comments are addressed to (Like you aren't capable of figuring something as simple as that out yourself?)

B) I don't hurt you wee wittle fragile feelings

I hate being caught in messes like this (Especially on a friendly board like this), but I suppose that's what I get for offering some constructive comments (Maybe I should stick to the TV board instead as at least I won't get head bit off there).

Just my blunt opinion...

PAT AND RUSTY RULE (ALL CAPS, HAHAHAHAHAHA)

On a more serious note, I hear that The wolf will remain country until Wilks can figure out how to make money off of it...or not.
In the meanwhile, all the employees are reinterviewing for their current jobs and the axes should fall very soon. I feel bad for anyone who has been there awhile and makes any real money. Get those resumes out!

Ok then, then tell me this....

Why is it that all 3 stations are not listed on Wilks main company website but is still listed on CBSRadio.com? That part just doesn't make any sense to me since CBS should have removed them and Wilks should have added the 3 stations by now on their own companies website.
The other thing is, that makes no sense, I mean he should have already took a look at the books and saw either how well or poorly The Wolf is doing on making money or not.

More than likely, it's because Wilks hasn't begun operating them yet. It's pretty common for a new company to re-interview the staff before they take over and make their decisions known as soon as they take over. Also, keep in mind that almost every transaction requires the seller to operate the stations as though it were business as usual.

The other thing is, that makes no sense, I mean he should have already took a look at the books and saw either how well or poorly The Wolf is doing on making money or not.

Wilks probably has some idea as to what it will do, but format changes, if any are in the works, aren't always the easiest things to do. I remember when Newmarket Communications took over KOQL 101.9 in Oklahoma City in November '93. Although Newmarket had little to say as they took the station over in an LMA pending sale, the entire staff knew what was coming as soon as the sale was announced. Newmarket was guaranteed to fire the entire airstaff and flip the station to country to flank new sister station KXXY. However, it took several weeks for Newmarket to flip the station, and the staff was dismissed and the format flipped right before Christmas.

A website listing is not an indication of current ownership. The website listing who owns the station is not high on the priority list. Knowing CBS and corporate BS within that company it will take a while untill they figure out that they even had stations in Denver. Wilks management was in town last week doing a colonoscopy on the stations, trust me they own the cluster.
Oh and The Wolf is no longer Christmas. Just keeping to the thread.
