Well then could you name them please, and is it possible the figures you speak of are possibly for the Morning Team and not just a single member of the team? Which is what we are talking about.
Who is worth 1 million dollars doing a morning show in San Francisco?
KGO #1 for decades, No one there
KOIT #1 25-54 and Women, No one there
KCBS Top 5 Radio station for years, No one There
KSFO Top 5 Station, No one there.
KIOI Last time I heard about Don Bleu's money it was about 500K and there was a
rumor that CC asked him to take a cut to 300K recently. Plus CC has KIOI down to
2 live shows a day.
So who makes 1 million bucks to do mornings in SF only? And is a One Person act.
Corrolla and Woopie don't count they are syndicated. Or any of the Spanish morning show syndications either.
If anyone in this town deserves to get 1 mill a year it should be the whole staff at KOIT they have owned Adults 25-54 and Women for Decades. That's where the ad guys love to put there money, in those demos.

KLLC. Believe it or not. Sarah's been making a ridiculous amount of money on a long term deal and that's why she's feeling confident about walking away. I'm still not sure that CBS won't buckle under and pay something ridiculous for her to stay. Outside of mornings, KMAX beat Alice in adult demos in some dayparts in the Fall. Chris Mays is going to have to start over if her diva decides to go home and sleep late.
Well then, I'm impressed. But mostly cause I don't get it. But then I'm not a 40+
year old soccer mom (I speak of Sarah) or her 29 year old listeners. I wonder if
the GM Greg Nemitz has much to say about this, or perhaps it's CBS corp and Sarahs agents an attorney. The way they run most of SF's CBS cluster I have
to believe Talent Decisions are made everywhere but here.
If Sarahs getting a Million or close to it, then I know why radio is in trouble.
But then again, I have heard 9 minute spot breaks on Alice, so it's mostly
about the dollars for ads, and the ammount of them you can jam in.

Production boy you must be talking about Ronn Owens on KGO-810 AM 9AM To Noon! Did I Win?
No, RSO, you did'nt cause Ronn works 9-12n, not morning drive. Ronn signed a deal a few years ago that takes him to 2012, but he is not making a million now, he most likely will be by 2012 though. I think Ronn is in the mid 5's Now + Ratings Bonus.
