Satellite TV Stations

Yes unclehonkey (on page 2) It was North Dakota I meant in the original post. Don't know why I said Minnesota. Lol Well, they're both a long way from Georgia and in the same general area.... that's probably why.

KHNL 5 Hastings SonLife, previously NBC until 2014 purchase by Gray which moved the NBC affiliation to the .2 of KOLN/KGIN below
Unless this was AN OLD call of KHAS & you're referring to that instead, KHNL is the Raycom-owned NBC affiliate in Hawaii which is part of the Hawaii News Now network

Speaking of KHNL, it too has a bunch of satellites & translators covering most (If not all) of Hawaii

Cheers & 73 :)

Let's also not forget that BOTH KTGM 7 (ABC) & KUAM 8 (NBC) on Guam not only have satellite stations but also LPs for FOX & CBS respectively (With satellites & translator networks for those as well)

Cheers & 73 :)

Also in Montana, Great Falls and Helena could be considered complimentary markets. ABC, CBS, and FOX Great Falls have translators in Helena while NBC Helena has a translator in Great Falls. The reason why they're still two separate markets may be that CBS Great Falls and NBC Helena are co-owned
Isn't NBC Montana a statewide network that's locally owned (Wikipedia doesn't mention an owner) ??

Cheers & 73 :)

WOFL 35 Orlando and WOGX 51 Gainesville, FL and they are both FOX O&Os, making WOGX the smallest O&O in the USA.
If you throw out the MyNet stations owned by FOX & the CW affiliates owned by CBS that is.....

Cheers & 73 :)

The odd thing about that is WOGX is licensed to Ocala (in the Orlando market)
That & the fact that FOX OWNS the pair (I challenge ANYONE here to name ANOTHER station FOX owns that's NOT in an NFL or NASCAR market OR in the state of Texas (I bet ya can't do it :D )

Keep in mind, they sold WFXT 25 DESPITE the Boston Red Sox being a regular on the network's MLB telecasts AND they sold KDFW 4 DESPITE the Dallas Cowboys being an NFC East team AND the network owning MyNet affiliate KDFI 27

Cheers & 73 :)

Also WTVF NewsChannel 5 & NewsChannel 5+ as well ??

Cheers & 73 :)
no
Newschannel 5+ is a subchannel
KQED & KQED + are 2 separate RF stations. Technically KQED + is KQEH

In December 2010, the Board of Directors of Northern California Public Broadcasting changed the organization's name to KQED Inc. The station changed its call letters to KQEH and rebranded as "KQED Plus" on July 1, 2011, after research found that most viewers were unaware that KTEH was related to KQED; other aspects of the station's operation, including programming and staff, were not affected by this change

nope...NBC Montana is a partial state network (Western part of the state). Bonten owns them (wiki does list that) ;)

Other parts of the state get a NBC owned by Cordillera (Helena, Butte, Great Falls)
Billings is KULR owned by Cowles Company
Glendive is KXGN-DT2 which is basically KULR with some local commercials

A similar thing happen in San Francisco also. Fox renamed KICU-TV 36 as KTVU plus as a ploy to get Bay Area viewers to realize that in cases where KTVU Fox 2 has to pre-empt Fox Programming for Breaking News and for Fox Sports Reasons. The Bay Area audiences can find Fox Programming on KTVU+.

until recently Los Angeles ;)
Moot point now that the Rams are there
hell they did. Fox owns KDFW
Umm.....I believe I said I challenged people to find a FOX O&O that WAS NOT

* In an NFL market (This would rule out KTTV)

* In a MASCAR market (By that I mean in the heart of NASCAR country, which is basically the south & the Carolinas)

* IN THE STATE OF TEXAS (This would rule out KDFW 4, KTBC 7 & KRIV 26)

Look again :D

Cheers & 73 :)

You look again, Pat. He's not calling you out on the NFL/NASCAR bit, he's calling you out on the bolded portion below:

Fox never sold KDFW. They still own it and they've owned it ever since they fully bought out New World back in the 1990s.

Me thinks Pat can't read....so lets go back to my response

Pat listed "find me a FOX O&O that isn't" and then listed some requirements. To which I posted
until recently Los Angeles

to which he said "moot point now that the Rams are there. THAT WAS THE POINT OF "UNTIL RECENTLY"!!!

And then you got pissy at me stating that Dallas FOX is O&O (you claimed it was sold) when the ONLY part I quoted was your error of
they sold KDFW 4 DESPITE the Dallas Cowboys being an NFC East team AND the network owning MyNet affiliate KDFI 27

So nice try Skippy
