Savage wins suit against TRN

So their surprise is that another TRN host will be moving timeslots?

They didn't announce a replacement for 6-9p Eastern?
 
Wait... you must have gotten something wrong. 12p-3p ET is 9a-12p PT. Did you mean 6-9p ET and 3-6p PT?
 
It's probably a re-feed of Doyle. It isn't likely they'd sabotage all of Doyle's affiliates with less than a day's notice!

Jerry Doyle does a great show. Assuming the later time slot is preferable it would make sense to eventually move it.
 
Rumor has it that Compass Media Networks is suggesting to Savage affils they will be bringing Savage back at some point.

People are uncertain if Savage has a noncompete or the whole contract was voided.
 
It's been more than ten days from my last post, and the rumor is now that Cumulus is picking him up. A Savage affiliate PD just told me a Cumulus sales rep told him the deal will be done in the next week. He says he tried to call her back three times but she hasn't returned the call.

So one station told me over a week ago that a Compass rep called with the claim they were going to get Savage, and now another station says Cumulus.

What actually will end up happening is anyone's guess...
 
Cumulus can get him back on the air in his home town, if that's his goal. But he comes with a price, and the price is he's going to be a hard sell to advertisers. Premiere already has that problem with Rush and Beck. They don't need any more negative talk. Cumulus was saying it wanted to do softer talk by launching Huckabee. So this would be a sharp contrast to that.

I'm not sure that Savage can play the Ronn Owens(KGO-AM Host) Card to the national audience sure it will work in San Francisco. I do know that Ronn would go non political for the final hour of his show.
Also Monty of KGO-AM would when he wants to talk about the 49ers or San Francisco Giants.
