I hear people talk about Shannon being in his mid 60's, and maybe a bit too old to help attract younger listeners, but here is something to think about. If you were a 15 to 24 years old, listening to Scott during Z100's Worst to First era, when that was the hottest radio station in NYC, that would make you about 45 to 54 years old now. Getting some of those number on board, could "young down" WOR a bit, and make it attractive to advertisers. Also, Shannon is very good at surrounding himself with strong people, and knows NY inside & out. I suspect this challenge would energize him, the same way he was energized 30 years ago when the "experts" said he could never make a Top 40 station work in New York.
