He's been in radio for many years. He was a part of the original CHR Z93 in the seventies. He went to WPGC in Washington, Z93's sister station, in the mid-seventies to fill in when WPGC's jocks went on strike.
When one of the WPGC jocks, Jim Elliott, crossed the picket line, the station put Elliott on in mornings with Woodside as the newscaster. It accidentally turned into a wildly-popular morning show, Elliott & Woodside. Then around 1980, D.C. competitor Q107 hired them. The show lasted through the mid-eighties. Then Woodside returned to Atlanta and was teamed with Barry Chase at Z93 in the early nineties.<P ID="edit"><FONT class="small">Edited by RoddyFreeman on 03/19/06 09:25 PM.</FONT></P>
