The amount of capital they've poured into HD (hybrid digital, not high definition) radio hasn't helped their bottom line in the least as well.

There is no value in having HDRadio on FM or AM. The only station that comes close is KPBS. I have two HDRadios and feel that it is not worth the investment time or money in Sandy Eggo.

Hybrid Digital? Isn't that one of the Cylon kids on Battlestar Gallactica?

And there is a vote on the reality of HD Radio viability.

We're calling it XM-Sirius these days (Can't beat the nearly 200 channels and Howard, The Strobe and The Beat).

It is NOT combined yet. Nor can you buy programming on the proposed combo. The deal has to be OK'd by the Federal Communications Commission.

For those keeping score at home:

XM
Sirius

The proposed deal would have the company called XM.

Thanks for playing! Johnny, tell him what the consolation prize is .....

Yes, I know. I have a Sirius radio in the car. My message to the FCC: "GET IT DONE ALREADY!" It would be nice to hear Padres or Red Sox games while riding I-27.

I didn't realize this was a contest...

You won! Hurry, caller ten will get your prize!

I feel the same way about CC's ruthless destruction of the lives of many terrific personalities, and demanding that PDs program two or more stations simultaneously.

Then they have the audacity of doing such dumb things as removing Meg Stevens from her many years as the PD of country powerhouse WGAR/Cleveland to be the PD of both WPOC/Baltimore and WMZQ/Washington, two country stations located some 35 miles apart!!!!

Consequently, when their addiction to beancounting winds up demolishing franchise properties such as WLTW/NY, while their floundering country stations in SD, Bakersfield & Atlanta continue to stink up the joint in more ways than one, then I am really delirios, and happy to despise them even more!!!

Seacrest is waaayyyy overexposed--no doubt about it.

Ryan used to hang with Jeff and Jer at Star 100.7/KFMB-FM prior to his rise at KIIS-FM.
