DavidZ said:Does anyone think that Clear Channel's hiring of Jay Severin is actually part of a larger plan by the company. Clear Channel has little or no overlap (in the core market areas) between most of their AM stations in Providence, Worcester, Springfield, and Manchester, NH. Perhaps they plan on syndicating Seevrin's show throughout their New England cluster to save more money and get the most "bang for their buck" in hiring Jay.

The Herald said he only received one order. Be yourself. Until the end when he was on a short leash he played nice and you could tell he hated being nice to callers. He dropped to 16 by hanging up or calling callers idiots, and that is when he was being himself.
