Shock Jocks...

Your belaboring of this issue isn't going to change anything.

Sadly you're right. Because people who work in radio are short sighted and don't see how our industry is being destroyed. They're happy to sit on their hands and do nothing while fellow talent is being personally destroyed. For what? Because they think an open spot somewhere means their sorry behinds can get off the beach. They are happy when guys at the top get fired because they are petty and jealous. It's disgusting.

And I've read my employee handbook several times. It doesn't mention anything about this sort of nonsense because I work for a company that VALUES talent and lets us live our lives as we please. I show up for work, do an FCC compliant show, get good ratings and sell lots of ads. That's all they ask of me.

If I DID misbehave online in a way that's NOT ILLEGAL, the first response wouldn't be to fire me. When someone starts up an outrage campaign, they stand by me. Because THAT is what GOOD COMPANIES DO. SiriusXM is not a good company. They're garbage. There wasn't even a boycott. Not even a THREAT of a boycott. The outrage machine is so efficient now, all they have to do is throw out the magic "r" word, and people get fired.

As I've said before. If you don't think that's dangerous, get the hell out of this business. You're part of the problem.

You're in no position to tell me what to do.

But Gawker is?

Just wait. If you're at all involved with the on air side of radio, you WILL be the target of these outrage locusts at some point. They WILL try to have your job. You'd better hope your company is better than SiriusXM.

How can I "buy" their side when I haven't read it?

You support their goal. The firing of Anthony Cumia. You doubt his story of being attacked, even after being told by someone who knows the guy that he's telling the truth.

So answer my question. Is there a single radio firing that you haven't supported? If so, please share with us which one/s?

You support their goal.

I don't "support their goal." I stated my opinion. The fact that they may be similar has nothing to do with it.

I have no problem with this guy. This isn't personal. Heck, I'll even say it's too bad he got fired.

I've answered your question in another thread.

I've answered your question in another thread.

So answer it again. What firings don't you support?

This is how bad things have gotten:

Mick Foley is a retired wrestler. He was Cactus Jack/Mankind in the WWE. He didn't even "support" Anthony, he just thanked O&A for having him on the show over the years. Now the outrage machine is demanding that he be run out of RAINN, the sexual abuse support foundation that Mick has supported for year and has raised MILLIONS for.

These people know NO LIMITS. They MUST BE STOPPED.

How would I know? Unless I'm the one making the decision, I have no idea if it was a good or bad decision.

Why won't you answer this simple question? All you have to do is name ONE radio personality that shouldn't have been fired for "controversial" comments, whether they be on the air or off.

Although I think I've figured out what you do in radio now. You're either a management type or a consultant. Way too much of a weasel to be an air personality.
