Should WWDB-AM drop Imus?

Let he who is without sin cast the first stone. It's been 2000 years since the last perfect man. Looks like Julius is ready for another crucifixion.

In my opinion as a minority, was it innapropriate? Yes. Should he have said it? No. Should he be fired for it? No. It was a JOKE!!!! Innapropriate and stupid, but not necessary to fire him for it. How many comedians (and people seem to forget that he does a comedy show) would be considered good comics if the only did knock-knock jokes and didn't take a chance, knowing that they may piss some people off?

I can't wait for this story to die down, although it appears like it never will.

My $.02

Imus is going to be the best thing to happen to DB. Therfore, they would be FOOLISH to drop The I Man. Broadcasters really need to grow a set of "stones" and stop this madness that has beleaguered the airwaves since the "Janet Jackson Wardrobe Malfunction". This is why internet radio and satrad is winning, homogenization of radio and then the dumbing down/making radio safe.

That being said, was Imus wrong with what he said? Yeah. Does he deserve to have his livelihood/career stripped from him? ABSOLUTELY NOT!!! What Kramer said was much worse. Besides, ITS ONLY WORDS!!! Get a grip, people. It seems the people that want Imus fired would never have listened to him anyway. Just like women that protest abortion and women's rights are ones you wouldn't "duff" in the first place.

If by some chance, WWDB is so "P-Whipped" that they have to drop Mr. Imus, listen on WFAN-66 New York, it comes in better anyway!!!!

Julius, while you are as intitled to an opinion as anyone else is, you continue to show a total lack of knowledge about radio. And your continual cries for us all to call, write and e-mail stations about how awlful they are is really annoying. I will e-mail WWDB to demand they keep Imus on the air.
