Cincinnati has an independent, over-the-air station with a very weak signal that shows many old shows. It isn't on Time Warner Cable, though.
At my mother's house, which is on a hilltop about 15 miles from the transmitter tower, the back bedroom TV (my old bedroom) is not connected to cable. It has an antenna and digital converter and it CANNOT pick up this station. I've tried rescanning the TV a number of times.

The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet; Bionic Woman; Highway to Heaven; I Spy; Marcus Welby, M.D.; Movin' On; Naked City; Route 66 and The Saint are listed.

That sounds like it's an RTV affiliate, since virtually all those shows are on the channel.

The first five shows in that list are also on 'Cozi', and I think 'Naked City' is on either Cozi or MeTV. Not sure how the contracts between these retro channels and distributors work, but it's interesting that the station in Cincy seems like a hybrid of several channels.

"Medical Center" reruns were supposed to be on the original PAX sked in 1998, but something happened (no idea what it was), and it never came about.


Maybe it was that episode with Robert Reed that game them cold feet.

You know what show I never thought would fit in this category, and now seems to have fallen off the face of the earth? "Gilligan's Island". Haven't seen it in quite a while. Anyone know who's airing it now?

Ozzie and Harriet, i'm sure it has been, probably 40 years ago but i haven't seen it since. i know its been talked about before but IF someone could break the ice and bring back the jackie gleason variety show from the 60's-70's or skelton, carol burnett, johnny carson or dean martin's show from the 60's.... i know they have to clear the music and royalties from dvd sales, but someday that has to have run its course, really there has to be a way. i wonder how re-runs of carson would do against leno and letterman?

Some PBS stations showed the "American Scene"-era Gleason shows back in the early 80s, and American Life had the color Honeymooners a few years ago, but I've never seen reruns of the color non-Honeymooners shows. Now, if someone could run a "You're In The Picture" marathon...

Add at least two more. Me, who never forgot that show even though I was only 7 at the time (I'd already seen a lot of TV and it was the oddest thing I'd ever seen), and Pat Carroll, the actress and comedienne who is probably far better known for her appearances on everything from the Danny Thomas Show to The Little Mermaid. She appeared as a guest on my daytime radio show a couple of years ago and recalled the time she'd been a guest panelist on the premiere taping of You're In The picture on January 20, 1961--which turned out to be the only episode that CBS ever aired. She also told me a second episode was also taped (with Johnny Carson joining her as one of the guest panelists) and was supposed to air the following week...but it was pulled before broadcast at Gleason's orders. He did a monologue the night of January 27, and for the rest of the season turned it into an informal interview show with a single celebrity guest for every half-hour episode.

Does anyone know if a copy of that second unaired spisode of You're In The Picture has ever surfaced, or even if it still exists, in or out of the Gleason estate's or CBS's custody?

In 1981, a San Jose TV station, KSTS, ran an odd format of Financial News Network, and 'Star TV' scrambled movies..with reruns of Jackie Gleason, 'Make Room for Daddy' and 'Batman' in between. The Gleason episodes were the 1962-66 version, all chopped up, but I don't recall if it was an hour or half-hour format. I wonder if the inability to re-air old variety shows in their entirety kept Gleason, Carol Burnett, etc., from really being successful in syndication?

Soul Train is running on both Centric (cable) and Bounce (over-the-air subchannel).

MST3K has not been on TV in a decade but a lot of the episodes are available on DVD and almost all episodes can be found on YouTube.

"Cartoon Planet" was revived by the Cartoon Network recently with new segments featuring Brak and Zorak (I have not seen any new segments with Space Ghost so far). The original "Cartoon Planet" segments have not been broadcast by the Cartoon Network in years.

NO. IT WASN'T ALWAYS SPANISH. Neither were WSNS or KXTX.
