Sid Rosenberg out at 790 The Ticket in Miami

I have heard them talking about them...Petey Lenny? And you're right...I'm not the guy to break down sales guys. But I do like Doc Reno a lot.

Doc Reno is one of the few good on air talents left on the FM dial.

I'm guessing that Sedano probably has the same non-compete as Sid so even if he did leave when his contract was up he'll be on the sidelines for awhile.

It sucks to see the path 790 is taking they're getting killed by 560. I listen to 790 almost all day (I drive for a living and fm radio sucks to me) and I've been listening to the ticket since it started and its best days were when they had sid, boog, sedano, dan, kevin rogers and guzio, and the dos. And since then they got rid of 3 of those shows and 1 just dropped. I wasn't much of a fan of sid but he's alot better than what they have or are probably gonna have. They need to get K-Rog back and get rid of Zas and Frito. If not than 790 is gonna continue to lose listeners little by little

I tuned in this morning to 790... couldn't turn if off quick enough again. What in the world are they doing?
I've taken up listening to 560 and 640 now. Until 790 fixes their morning mess I refuse to listen for more than 9 seconds just to hear if they have anything new.

560 during the day has been decent, but of course you can't hear sports when Neil is on. Joe Rose is good.
640 lately has had on some morning and afternoon baseball local talk. Larry Millian, the old 790 dude, and Andy Slater.

So between those 2 stations, I can get my fill... only problem is 640 signal down here in the Westchester area doesn't come that strong.

Will 790 ever fix this or what?

Hey they're both hard working men & deserve vacations, But did 790 really give LeBatard & Sedano vacations on the same week?
So just to compare last year on or around this day 790 had on
Sid, Kevin & Brandon, Sedano, LeBatard

Today the lineup is
Steve White, Zaslow, Salguerio, Stugotz.
No words can describe my confusion

Lol its funny you say 640's signall isnt strong in Westchester I had the same problem when living in sweetwater. And yea its brutal I forgot Dan was on vacation. And the thing that kinda gets me is that 2 weeks ago I was listening to steve white and he said that week he was gonna announce who the real morning guy is gonna be and since then hasn't brought it up.

Nothing on a JCR radio station is ever worth listening to.

Doesn't matter to me who owns a station... I'd rather listen to 790, but it's just been brutal lately.
So my only options are 560 and 640.

Any update on what Sid's going to do? I hope he stays in the market because I enjoy listening to him, but my guess is he's heading back to NYC if he can get a good offer.

There's plenty of sports stations in South Florida if he wants to stay.

Someone at CC told me Ken Charles was about to hire Sid but was thwarted by yesterday's round of cuts.

Barry Jackson wrote that a month ago and mentioned Sid has a non compete that will not allow him to work for a few months.

Someone on the NYC board mentioned that Sid has been calling in on one of the shows on ESPN in NYC.
Maybe he's trying to get a spot back there.

Yeah that was me I'm a big Sid fan. I don't think its a coincidence since there was also a rumor Sid going to ESPN in L.A.
Odd thing is he would go up against Benigno his goombah.

Neil Rogers said Sid was going to WQAM...dont' know if that's real or just "Neil Talk".

Sources say Joe Bell is a big Sid fan. But where does QAM have the money to pay him? They just laid off their morning update anchor(Jesse Agler) to save an extra 9 dollars an hour. Doesn't sound like a station that can pony up 150K-200K a year for Sid.

Perhaps getting rid of JMP could give 940 some extra jack to throw at Sid. But I doubt JMP was making close to six figures at CC.

As soon as they dump Neil Rogers' contract, they will have money for Sid. Today, WQAM fired Jorge Rodriguez, Neil's producer.

QAM's not dumping Neil. they did a new 5 year contract with him not long ago. His complaining about management has been going on for 30 years...it's nothing new.
