On AM, it is 580 WKAQ. Best combination of power and site, followed by WAEL 600 in Mayaguez and WORA 760 in Mayaguez. 680 WAPA used to be the best, but they moved the site and have suffered from it.
Today, it is a question of being on the Eastern Seaboard and having a bit of luck and good gear.
In the early 60's from Ohio I had verified 580, 780 (50 watt AFRS station at Ramey AFB), 740, 810, 850, 940, 1140 (10 years later I would be GM of this) 1370, 1390, 1480. From Phoenix in 1974 I got WRSJ on 1560 with 250 watts, as my only PR catch from that location.

ISTR 680, 810, and 1660 are the three most often reported on the mainland by DXers. The latter, I'm sure, because of its relatively clear frequency. (compared to all other PR stations)
Of course, what "skips out" best for DX and what has the best local coverage are often two very different things.
