Sirius Dropping Fox News 1/1/06

That's what I was thinking. They already have CNBC, why not add MSNBC. Of course, they would have to black out Imus like XM does.

That's true in my case. I don't listen to their news stations. I listen to Sirius Right and Sirius Left once in a while though. I listen to Sirius Stars, Maxim, Howard 100 and some of the music channels.

Pardon me if this seems like an ignorant question, but why would Sirius have to "black out Imus" if it adds MSNBC?

Imus Blackout

Because the audio rights to Imus' show are held not by MSNBC, but by Westwood One/Infinity. To air Imus, Sirius or XM would have to contract with WW1 separately.

If Sirius was trying to appeal to a younger demo as posted earlier I would think they would want to dump CNN. That's got to be the most un-hip news channel ever. I can't stand listening to the dems cry and complain all day long. Get over it you lost the whitehouse/senate/congress and Supreme court. Please move on. I will also switch to XM if Fox is dropped. I love how liberals claim to be the pioneers for freedom of speach but if they don't agree with what is being said all they want to do is bash it and have it pulled off the air. One more thing check tv ratings cause it is true that Fox has more veiwers than all the other cable news networks combined.
