I've had Sirius satellite radio in my car for years, but unfortuantely, I wasn't in my car very often, except for the drive to and from work. I also live in the downtown Dallas area, so am not in my car hardly at all after work and on weekends. I walk or ride the rail/trolley everywhere. Plus, we can't download anything on our computers at work, so I couldn't listen at work either. So...when my subscription ran out in November, I never got around to renewing it. But once I heard Howard Stern was going to be added to the smart phone application in January, I purchased the 12.95/monthly app. and now listen to Sirius/xm on my Iphone. I can plug it into my car, listen at work, listen at the gym, on the train...it's awesome. So awesome, that I've not listened to a single bit of DFW radio in almost a month!!! I do occasionally miss the local programming, mostly local talk, but what we've got here is just so crappy!! I don't even miss the Ticket for sports..the Sirius offerings for sports is even better, imo. I'm not trashing terrestrial radio. I went to Austin last week and still tuned in to 101.5, and I still stream several stations from other parts of the country. But DFW radio has to be one of the worst markets quality wise in the nation. I don't know if I'll ever be back.
