Skyy leaving BPM...

how freeekin fuuny!!
to this moment, i thought
LONDON was the mecca / the capital / the
birthplace, the hailed holy ground (esp then
and even some what today)... i placed it
ahead of chicago; and considered it
to be "it" for the dance genre, this was all
based on.....
Reputation! (fuuny)

uh, no! unless you're into jungle, drum n bass, or that new downchill elctronica dance dub whatever! MWC is correct, London was boring when it came to dancing. Remember London is (much like the US) a pub/bar country. Dance music was never its forté. What do you think the Brits get outta town to party? I couldn't stand being kicked out of pubs at 1:00am. Luckily dance clubs now close later. Not the case on the continent where the culture is much more of a café culture first then a long, late night on the town in a dance culture. As some who has partied in almost 50 countries, London would NOT rate at the top. Gimme Chicago anytime. Now that is a party town. Gosh, I had more fun in Guatemala City.

PS. Add obnoxious drunk screeming 18 year old Brits swearing at the top of their lungs in east London cockney, and I'll stay in my 150 USD closet hotel room!

Still not sure about BPM though: Today heard Katy Perry into Mgmt (??) into an older dance track into Hellogoodbye. Wow. The transition to easy-to-use wifi (i.e. not hooking up the iphone which isn't a very elegant solution) in cars can't come soon enough.
