Kevin Legrett is expanding his Clear Channel Rochester empire. I don't see any specifics, but you've got to believe that Syracuse and Binghamton will come under his purview. Somehow, this doesn't sound like good news for any long-time managers there. Could there be another round of cuts coming from Clear Channel?
There's also the question of market realignment, and determining which are majors and which are "regionals". CC apparently plans to have three Senior VPs reporting to Matt Martin, the President of Regional Markets. Legretts reach could extend to a third of the country. That'll earn him some frequent flyer miles.
To me, it's just another reason to be thankful that CC isn't in the Buffalo market. My guess is that Rochester's about to become a hub...
