jknauernvr said:Okay, let me put a couple of things out there... I am not a "production guy." I am a radio professional that has 25 years of experience. I have done mornings in Charleston, WV, Oklahoma City, Huntsville, Pittsburgh, and even Akron, Ohio. I have worked at stations like WZOU in Boston and Pirate Radio in L.A. I have done Talk, Country, 80's, Top 40, or whatever format the station wanted that day. I have for the most part, loved my career. Just the people that think thay know it all can get you down. As you might have noticed, full timers are getting sacked left and right. Some of them are my friends. But they are not anxious to come to work for a station at a part time rate of pay. I know I am not the worlds greatest jock, but I do know from experience that I am not the worst. I am just happy knowing that I am live AND local. I don't know how long that it will stay that way, but I am staying for as long as I can. In this day and age that stations take talent away, let's be happy that CBS is still putting on live talent. So if God forbid there is a catastrophe, I will be here to warn people about it! And BTW MissMusicRadio, I have been live in the WSJT studio from 1-7 today. My actual break was, " I just saw this on the internet..." not "This just in..."
I have given you my name and my cirriculum vitae. Let's see if you will be brave enough to give yours!

I am not in radio and my name would mean nothing to any of you. Seriously------I am not in your industry ever. Just a fan who gets carried away. I know that there were certain folks that used aliases to post here who are well known. I'm not. Actually giving out my name would violate my "witness protection' contract. If you go through the WTAN logs for the years 2003-2008 you might find an interview I did with Frank Kopszynski. Does that help? Seriously-------I am only a fan. My ciriculum is in government work of no particular connection to radio. I wanted to be in radio ,but I flunked the voice test. I would have wanted to be the 7-11 DJ on WMCA, but that was overreaching. BMR got hired. Maybe I don't know what I am talking about, but that should prove I AM NOT IN RADIO AND NEVER WAS!
I give CBS all the credit for keeping the faith with WCBS,KRTH,WOMC, and Q105. When "Jack' failed in NYC, CBS was smart enough to hire warm bodies and bring back the greatness. It seems lately I've been offending people. I'm sorry and will keep my criticism for the poor guy who does overnights on WXGL. He is clueless. On that note, I remember Glenn Beck overnights on WPGC in DC circa 1983.
What I would like is for WSJT to be live 24/7. It's the type of music to keep one cozy over-night and it needs the warm dulcet tones of a WNEW AM type of guy to keep us (as one poster called me)' lonely old ladies without a life' company. Short of that, there is WUSF.
