Smooth Jazz 106.5 Gone

Also...I wasn't trying to say someone was right and someone was wrong about the signal reach. All I did was a very unscientific study to see where WDSJ came in in Clark County, in my car and at home. I wasn't looking at radio-locator but using my own research on the signal. I've driven as far as eastern Clark County and never had problems picking it up. I also don't have any kind of fancy antenna setup at home...All I use is the factory "Antenna wire" that came with my stereo receiver. K-99.1 is a great station and will never be touched guaranteed. Also was near Downtown Dayton yesterday and had zero problems picking up 106.5.

Whether K99 is ever touched or not is a matter of speculation. I only took issue with your claim that WDSJ has "a great signal." I does not. It has a demonstrably sucky signal in large areas of the Dayton metro.

And your anecdotal evidence says you have zero problems picking them up on your automotive receiver in downtown Dayton. Mine says I went through there last week and the RDS was intermittent around Needmore road with lots of multipath. By the time I got downtown I could barely get the stereo light to light. (It had blended to mono long before the light went out.)

Greg, you're acting as if I am an "apologist" for the 106.5 signal(I am not and I DO NOT work for Clear Channel). I am in no way saying that this signal is great. Yes, it is spotty, but once again I DID A VERY UNSCIENTIFIC STUDY USING MY CAR STEREO TO SEE WHAT IT WOULD SOUND LIKE IN DOWNTOWN DAYTON. I picked it up with no problems...Just me. I didn't say everyone would pick up this signal perfectly. That is open to interpretation. Every car stereo will pick up the signal differently depending on the equipment used and the exact area one is traveling through/in. Once again, I refuse to get into scientific theory on how much of 106.5's signal penetrates into Downtown Dayton because that's not my field of expertise. This was in no way to upset you or anyone else. Just a little experiment I conducted. Now let's get back to more important things in life... ::)
