SNL F-Bomb

Re: SNL F-Bomb / Possible S-Bomb on 10/3/09 Show by Lady GaGa

I think I heard this on the East Coast feed...

While Lady GaGa was performing "Paparazzi" sometime between Midnight & 12:15am ET, she sang a line in the song: "snap, snap to that s--t on the radio". Possibly the "s-word" was somewhat muffled/masked/replaced by Miss GaGa but definitely not edited with the usual audio dropout expected for a curseword. I checked the original studio version of the song on YouTube, that's definitely the unedited lyric.

Looks like SNL is 2-for-2 for FCC-fineable words this season!

I'm giving the 3 October SNL a thumbs in the middle. Nothing made me laugh out loud. I thought the Garbage Dog Food and Family Feud with the Phillips were funny. They had star power with Madonna and Elijah Wood. I expected for Scarlett Johansson (married to Ryan Reynolds) to show up for a skit.

That opening skit with Obama was terrible. Worst impression ever. The guy (don't even know the actors name) didn't even try to change his voice.

That's Fred Armisen. I agree that he didn't try to do a good Obama. Armisen has done Obama since 2007 and has done the President's speaking voice and tone much better.

I did see the episode and I do agree that the Obama skit was the wrong way to open up SNL.

If they really wanted to go for the juggular they should've gone with a Letterman Skit or move Family Feud up to the opening bit.

I believe I also saw Hammond as Gov. Schwarzenegger on Weekend Update.

Lady Ga Ga was not bad i thought.

The opening sketch was okay. Fun to see them finally be a bit critical of the big O; however, you can tell that Armisen wasn't at his best there.

Agreed on the Family Feud bit being pretty good; the Lady Ga-Ga skit was okay - the chick playing Madonna has quite a figure! WU was weak this week and shouldn't have been. And if there was a Letterman sketch, I missed it. That was like a free shot for them this week.

To me, the funniest bit of all was the SNL Digital Short "On The Ground". Funny in that "cowbell" sort of way that hits you by the end of the skit. Happy Birthday To The Ground....priceless!

I wasn't sure if that was Madonna until I got a good look at her face. Plus it is confirmed on NBC.com

So far, it's been the talk of all the cable news shows this week, so he must have done something right! (And per the punchline of the skit, it's one thing more than Obama has done.)

Well if he did something right, I sure missed what it was. The whole Obama skit just sucked! Other than Letterman stuff I guess it's a slow news week.
