I meant to say this last week.
On Inauguration Day I just had to listen to Rush imbaugh.
Among the problems: dead air almost every time they switched from Rush to news or commercials or whatever else they were doing locally, or from news back to Rush. I even heard beeping.
And, with the sun out and what little snow there was almost melting and the roads clear, a forecast for 3 to 6 inches just kept getting repeated.
Today, the forecast sounds similar to two weeks ago. I'm relying on the man on my second favorite pop radio station. He says it might snow tonight if the rain stays around long enough, but he's not talking about accumulation.
And while this isn't about radio, the jerk on Channel 9 who does weekends just said "From 60s to snow" as he did a station ID. He's a jerk anyway. And he never tells you what the low and high were. How can a TV weather report at 6 or 11 not tell you these things? These meteorologists act like you know what already happened. Excuse me? Nobody told ME. How do I know what happened? That's why I watch the news.
Reg on Fox 18 usually does this. Derek thinks he can get away with not doing it when he has something else to say, like it's optional or something.
Terri Bennett on Channel 36 was pretty good too. Brad Panovich couldn't care less so I no longer acknowledge the existence of Channel 36 News.
