Matty also has a very funny stand up act, i caught him once at nick's comedy stop....funny without being too dirty, which is tough these days.

And the offensive question?

I asked:

Is the is true one of them called you "Nig Carter" as well? Who? (Opie or Anthony, or Rocko?)

He was FIRED rather abruptly, there's many many threads a few pages back where Paul posts about it.

I dont know from what I remember a listener called me and told me that O and A had referred to me as "Nig" Carter, I THINK it was probably one of their listeners if anyone at all. It was probably a lie, the guy who called me just wanted to stoke the fire of the on air war. So many people (listeners) had so much invested in it that people would call me up and say "Ok let's get it going" when I had just started the show. I know that some listeners called them and told them that I had said things about them that I had not said, so a lot of people had alot invested in the outcome of that war. To answer your question Smoke, I dont know: I cant say for certain WHO if any of them said it,it was a volitile time and when the guy called me and told me I put him on the air (which was my mistake when I had no way to authenticate the info he was giving me) and I of course went off on them and it ended up in the papers and blah blah blah. I was young and not really ready for that much attention put on me FOR THOSE REASONS and in truth I honestly think O and A were smarter than to say something that obviously racist and dumb. The funniest part about the O and A war is that people talk about it to this day and we were only on against each other for five months......FIVE MONTHS and then they were fired but believe me that was the longest five months of our lives!. Seconds passed like hours!...

Rocko on the other hand also would post on radio chat boards like the old aol radio board that I got my job because of "EOE" but he would post under a screen name that was not his. Yeah of course.... if you want to get ratings in Irish, working class, Boston, put a large black man on the air and let him yap all he wants,...lol.......So in other words it was pretty obvious that eoe or eeo had nothing to do with my being hired, if anything it was the other way around.

My honest feeling Smoke is that we all said so much about each other that we wished we could take back, there was enough that actually WAS SAID without worrying about things that I cant prove whether they actually were said and even if so who said it.

Does that make any sense?>

It does, thanks (no text)

Re: Question for Nik

Why is Nik Carter without a full time gig?
