If I didn't know better, I'd say Matt and Ted were together somewhere, typing this stuff up.

I know Dave.

They were together when I was hanging on for life out the side of the BMW

You guys are close, maybe a motorcycle ride to see Springstein would help for Harlow. McCall could end up handcuffed to a random girl before its all said and done.

I know Buzz Kaup doesn't know the things that happened in the Johnstown end of things.

How good are you at playing quarters? When was McCall handcuffed? New possibility. VITO!

The Springsteen thing turned out to be a big Ho-Axe.

I deny any knowledge of the handcuff story.

Harlow,
I don't usually post, but just wanted to say hello and thank you.
You gave me a shot back in the early 80s, as a snot nosed teen,
and even though the studio wall didn't go all the way to the
ceiling, and Ted threw lit smoke bombs into the studio during
my shift, and even though we were broadcasting in dual synch mono,
you and Ted helped me break into the industry. The rest was up to
me, and also with some helpful words from Cary, I am now an owner.
One of the only ones left not part of a major group. Thanks again.
MS

Glad I could be of help.

E-mail me sometime so I can find out who you are.

Radio is a passion. I am out of the full-time aspect of the business, but loving doing part-time on a station with legendary calls.

Take care

Harlow

Im Drew Kelly (no not that guy thats on some station somewhere around Harrisburg). I started at B103 in umm.. 1994 yeah 94. did part time then to qwk then well.. lets jsut say i found a format that didnt fit. then i was fortunate enough to PD the start up of Hot 1079. wow startin a station with a staff of 3 for a while and then 1(ME!!) for a month!!!!

we started a pretty good soundin station. Then I relaized that there were no more promotions to be had and if i wanted a raise i had to wait for Al Dame to fire everybody in the building so that we would have the "economic flexibility" (when did dame become the pirates anyway) for raises... funny how my landlord would never accept those free subway subs as payment!

I just check in here once in a while to see the latest rumors. I still have alot of friends sufferin...er workin in town.
I'm in pittsburgh fixin to go to law school. Seriously considerin Public Interest Law on the side, so that I can encourage a certain government commission to take a look at certain competitive practices of a certain local(to you) company. But I've been told that pro bono sucks!! Maybe we could pass a hat

Oh well peace! keep postin and keepin me posted about all that is goin on up 'ere n'at

Hey Harlow! Yea, you were nice enough to invite me to the Tyrone studio when I was about 14 or 15 and let me do a "fake" show in the WIYQ studio. Then while I was waiting with you for my ride to take me home, Ted came in and fired the fire extinguisher(water filled) at both of us! I'll never forget that.

Did they give you a overstuffed swivel chair in a penthouse studio on the 27th floor?

Wisconsin huh.....
