Air America was never even alive in Memphis. It just didn't pull the numbers.
AAR was never good radio, politics aside. Malloy was by far the best air talent they had and they blew him out.

bluffcityradio said:With KQPN losing Jim Rome in November, and the fact that Dan Patrick is no longer with ESPN, they are dead. Dan Patrick and Jim Rome where the shows drawing people to the station. Chris Vernon benefited some from this but hasn't been able to effectively keep them past the first hour of his show as sports fans returned to WHBQ or went to afternoon shows like Mike Fleming if they like talk. Now that Vernon has no lead in, his show won't be growing.
