This is just a heads up.
Audio Tapes:
Tords the end of last year I bought a pack of Sony HF 90s. I had 2 of them just flat out bust at the end of the recording. Its not my tape recorder because it doesn't do that with any other brand and another Sony tape broke in another tape recorder of mine which also doesn't have any problems.
I have also had many other countless problems with Sony within the past 4 years including jamming and tape breaking off of the wheel for no apparent reason. An added "hiss" in the recording is also another problem with Sony.
Video Tapes:
I bought 2 to record the end of Newsworld International. Both tapes were broken mechanicaly (the tape was ok but the wheels were busted) One tape worked, the other my VCR spit it out.
I went yesterday to buy a new tape. Also a Sony. Found that the store I got it at replaced all of the ones that the ones I got was part of with a new shipment. Shelling and wheels seem ok. Tords the middle of the tape I heard a squeeky noise coming from the VCR. It went away after awhile. I went back to play the tape and found the part where it was squeeking came out with blurred picture and sound.
I'm going to stick with TDK and Maxell for video from now on. TDK for audio. I'd recommend everybody else do the same.<P ID="signature">______________
