Who changes format in South Bend this week? I'm not Jacking with you, and I doubt Kris Kringle is involved.

amradio [my name, not a hint about which dial]

Well, the only format change I am aware of in South Bend is WHLY 1580 changing from Standards to Catholic Radio sometime soon. Is this the right answer??

Christmas music is already on Country 99.9 and on weekends on Sunny 101.5. So is there going to be another Christmas station and is the station in Elkhart or South Bend?

I'm surprised WHLY is on the air. I heard about another station not mentioned by cartleague.

so what station exactly is going to change over to what format and when.

All quiet so far on the South Bend front........

Is this it?
From indianaairwaves.net....The St. Thomas More Foundation Inc., a South Bend-based nonprofit organization, will bring Catholic talk radio to local airwaves as early as next month on WHLY-AM..... ???

Re: South Bend Radio-WAWC 103.5 now playing C&W

Well, I don't know if this counts or not, but here goes.
http://www.willie1035.com (WAWC 103.5 FM). Changed very recently from Adult Contemporary (Hoosier 103.5 FM) to Country & Western. Owned by Fed Med (but they have a derivitive name of ownership), according to another site.

Syracuse/Warsaw 45 - 60 minutes south of Elkhart, but the signal reaches up here.

Well AM, is that it?

So since it's been quite sometime since you originally got the data/rumor. What station was to flip their format and to what format?

Power 95-7 is going FM talk after the 1st of the year.....it's the worst kept secret and I'm tired of waiting for the creator of this thread to grow a pair and say something.....

I always found it humorous that a small town like Nappanee would have a hip-hop station licensed to it...

Any word on what Federated Media plans to put on this FM Talker?

HA HA that is funny. Power 95.7-=-FM Talk??? A rap/hip-hop station that is doing better than 99.1.
However. if you are serious, if they wen't talk (which would be a disaster)-WTRC would be forced to change back to music :) (*making me personally VERRRRYYYYY HAPPY!)

The original thread referred to 1580am going Catholic. I've heard that 95.7fm is putting a dent in 92.9fm's ratings and sales revenue. Please don't turn this thread into an AMP vs. Federated Media (who is better?) competition.

AS

I don't think this will turn into a AMP vs. Fed. Med. since 99.1 is not owned by Fed. Med.
So out of curiosity, is there going to be any near-term format changes coming on the horizon after 1-1-07.

95.7fm vs. 92.9fm is in fact a Fed Med vs. AMP discussion. I wasn't even thinking of 99.1fm (who listens to them?)

More then what listens to 91.1 and almost the same amount that listens to WUBU and 95.7.
To me, real radio news in South Bend would be if AMP flipped 102.3 or 97.7 to active rock to go after WRBR, which would hopefully wake the Bear from it's hibernation.

Wake the Bear from hibernation?!?!?

Please get a clue before you speak. The Bear is #2 P25-54 and is on the best ratings run in the station's HISTORY!

Remember who told you Power was flipping to FM talk, then...never listen to that person again!

You're high if you think that flip's going to happen. Power's gone from startup to upstart, and they're doing exactly what Fed Med wanted them to do...start digging at U93. No way your prediction comes true. The only question now is, did you know that already and just decided to stir something up, or are you really that misinformed?
