Spring Book

Spring book looked pretty typical. KMPS was a solid number one in almost every demo. KMPS, KRWM, KCMS and KPLZ doing well with women in prime demos. KMPS, KZOK, KISW and KMTTdoing well with men. KBKS had a very strong Spring book which should end doubts of the station flipping formats. It competed well with KUBE and KQMV for the first time in several books, though the June phase was weak. KMTT had a nice rebound book too.

One interesting fact. KBSG had higher ratings both in the book and in last June trend than KIRO-AM or KTTH in just about every demographic. 35-64 they were near the top of the market. KIRO had its worst book in years, not even able to break a two in the last phase. KOMO did not do much better, even with the Mariners. Is the move to FM smart or should Bonneville have stuck with KBSG a bit longer? Guess time will tell.

Now now danny boy. Dontcha know the golden rule of radio is that when you blow up a station it gets its biggest ratings of the year ;D

This cowboy has always been a fan of the WOLF and the numbers for DA WOLF were still pretty damn strong but KMPS was outta sight
Says a lot for country but what bugs this cowboy is why is KMPS so strong, what makes it that much better ??? Props to the boys and girls at KMPS cause that was a helluva book. Same with the dudes at KZOK. They gotta be smilin at Infinity :D Even KBKS got a little kiss ::)

No surprise about KIRO. It's boring. Boring pompus news presentation, verbous pompus imaging. Talk show hosts who are in love with themselves.

Yes, it's inevitable that your "final book" is your "best book". However, KBSG had a great book, and their last couple of books had been shown steady growth without any significant marketing dollars. The folks at KJR-FM might have been celebrating the news, even though they lost significant ground (again). I guess winning by "default" is better than not winning at all!

So where's MammaKnowsBest's opinion on this trend?

I thought "The Ladies Room" was going to kill KISS and go after KUBE and T-Man?

Man, what happened?
