Spring book looked pretty typical. KMPS was a solid number one in almost every demo. KMPS, KRWM, KCMS and KPLZ doing well with women in prime demos. KMPS, KZOK, KISW and KMTTdoing well with men. KBKS had a very strong Spring book which should end doubts of the station flipping formats. It competed well with KUBE and KQMV for the first time in several books, though the June phase was weak. KMTT had a nice rebound book too.
One interesting fact. KBSG had higher ratings both in the book and in last June trend than KIRO-AM or KTTH in just about every demographic. 35-64 they were near the top of the market. KIRO had its worst book in years, not even able to break a two in the last phase. KOMO did not do much better, even with the Mariners. Is the move to FM smart or should Bonneville have stuck with KBSG a bit longer? Guess time will tell.
