Interesting to see the laradio.com story today about the plan for Jamie White once she goes on maternity leave. Too bad Don does not get it right. The real plan is she will not return. But that point may be moot as the speculation up and down the halls in Burbank is Star is in for some major changes or even a complete format change very, very soon.

I thought the same thing about Jamie... She's worn out her welcome I guess. I never liked her.

Re. a format change, I remember sometime ago a former regular poster here (who's been banned many times.. regulars know who) alluded to that.

Judging from the syntax, "mostb1" is that former regular poster. (Just so he knows that we know.)

Just what I was thinking too. He never announces when he changes his handle, you just have to know by his writing style.

Guess he survived Black Friday after all...

However, given a choice...in this scenario, I trust Don's information.

Gee I sure hope he's wrong, there are some nice people working there
that I would hate to see lose their jobs. However I can't argue with
mostb1's track record. Kind of sad that this guy, whoever he really is
would leak such info. He did the same with Jhani Kaye's departure, so he
does seem to be privy to some very inside, very sensitive info, and if so
he really should keep his identity hidden becaue I'm sure the powers that
be at 3400 West Olive would bounce his butt out onto the pavement in a
heartbeat if they knew who he was and what he was leaking.
But since he knows all of this, that would mean he has access to or
is someone high up the ladder at CC Burbank...

Just for the record, I have also heard about a big change from people close to the station.

There is a tendency to disbelieve rumors that come from people with recent account creation and/or a very small number of posts ...
______________

I assure you this is my first account on this website. Yes, I have a small number of posts because it has been recently registered. That does not mean my information is any less valid than anyone elses.

Anyhow, if what I'm hearing is true, look out for an airstaff change on Monday.

ah, ah, ah... I hear more specificity with regard to timing from this new poster than from our trusty original poster.

Could these guys work down the hall from each other?

Nothing beats speculation about prediction.

Maybe ask the new poster how many days Michael Martin was in Burbank last week to ready the new Star. That may just give us the clue you are looking for, Dr. Watson.

Someone must have forgotten to tell the webmaster. As of now (almost two hours after his shift), he is still on the website.

BTW, if you are right and you posted this from CC Burbank, I bet there will be management types wanting the origin IP from us, since this isn't the kind of information they want in public before it happens.

Maybe they'll be saying goodbye to you as well.
______________

Well... AllAccess is reporting Bradley is gone... Maybe I am the odd one...but I am a guy and I like Star...I am happy with the slight change to add more new music back into the rotation after sitting for most of the last year with little current singles. I wont be happy if the station flips because it plays the most music I like and I dont care for most of the other stations in LA because not really into heavy alternative, hip hop or really sappy love songs. Though it seems these Mix style stations are stumbling in many markets...not sure what the solution but the fact LA has two stations (KBIG and Star) that play similar formats might be part of the problem locally. I am not a radio expert..havent been on the radio since college 15 years ago... I just know what I like. But if Star flips I have my Ipod and will just give up listening to terrestrial radio.

KBIG and KYSR sound NOTHING alike... heck, they have very few songs in common. Other than Kelly Clarkson and some 80's and 90's stuff, there is very little overlap in the 2 stations playlists. The main things they have in common are that they are both owned by CC and that they both used to be Hot AC reporters in R&R, and that neither sounds very good on the air...

Yes, the station has sounded better of late, with the 8 or so new songs it's added the past month, but it hasn't done much beyond that. I'm also wondering what Gavin DeGraw's "I Don't Want To Be" did to deserve getting purged from their playlist the past couple of months??? Oh, maybe JACK is playing it... yeah, that must be it. Clearly, Clear Channel has no idea how to run Star other than into the ground. :(

Yeah, I think he used the inside info regarding Jhani Kaye's exit to his advantage. Whoever he is, he does seem to have some sort of legitimate connection to 3400 West Olive.
