Station & Jock mud slinging...

I can't wait until August, and we probably will find out the fate of all by late MAY! PPM works that fast -

Can't wait until August? Is that because Now might not be around by then?

I don't actually think that Now will be gone by August, but my point was that it's going to have to really start having a good showing soon in order for CBS to stick with the format. CHR is not the cheapest of formats to run and I am sure that they are hoping to quickly show some fairly good numbers and signs that they are eating in to the likes of Z100.

As for Pulse, we've been hearing the station's death sentence being handed down here for over two years, and they're still around (and as of this moment, with a larger air staff than Now). They're also expanding to LA, Chicago and DC. Tangible signs of growth, in other words.

It has to be cheaper to run then a talk format which was on in LA before AMP Radio came on in. As for 92.3 Now FM I think they are sounding better from when they first started out. I noticed they aren't playing promos about z100 much only from people calling in saying they suck etc. Also if 92.3 Now FM can get z100 out of first and into 3rd or 4th place by say the end or 2009 or even the end of summer, then 92.3 Now has done its job by taking listeners away from z100.

Does anyone know if Able Sanchez was suspended or something? seems since this incident he has not returned to the air. Just wondering why would Pulse take action against 1 of their staff (if they have done so) especially when their imaging is all about poking fun at other stations.

Radio is a business that has few listeners anymore.

I've said it before: This is a lame assertion. Radio cumes over 240,000,000 listeners a week in the U.S. alone.

Sorry for the double post.
