Stations In The Mix Over The Holidays....

It's Saturday and 97.9 The Beat is still doing the "New Years Jumpoff Mix". I'm surprised.

Well, ATL is sleep right now playing nothing but regualr programming. I swear both HOT 107.9 and V103 and playing the hell outta Lloyd's "Lay It Down"(Remix f/ Patti LaBelle)like it's brand spanking new. Heard it in Albany, GA on POWER 105.5 like a month ago or so.

As of now I'm rocking with 95.7 JAMZ outta Birmingham. They're actually sounding like an ATL station in the mix.

wow surprise hurricane dave didnt pull off the mix for hot 107.9

I'm surprised Candy is letting The Beat mixers do their thing. Dj Phil,(from the RSMS), just finished up and now Dj Smoove is on the tables. I feel like a kid in a candy store!

I will admit that this holiday season has been the most boring holiday season so far when it comes to radio. Interestingly, KZZP in Phoenix was pretty much the only one who at least kept their mixshow schedule on Christmas Eve and Christmas evening, and they also got down live on Friday of New Year's eve as well. KZZP doesn't even mix normally on Friday nights. KKFR started Friday around 3 or 4pm. No one is mixing in Az. right now, though. Two to three years ago, we would've surely had at least two stations going all weekend with the stations we have now.

Power 106 in L.A. was doing their thing, even before 11am, as usual.

Actually, the Legends remix (featuring Patti LaBelle) was officially dropped 2 days ago. Hell, even the exclusive new music blogs didn't have the track until the Wednesday, so if you must have heard the un-mastered version.

Shawty, that station is only good for one thing, that is mixing. Otherwise it sucks worse than V or HOT on their absolutely worst days. I've had friends from out of town asking me when I do go back asking why is 95.7, so late on hot songs (like 3 months sometimes). To this day, I'm embarrassed for my hometown Birmingham because they aren't innovative at all.

Wow! Once again, 97.9 The Beat is in the mix today for the "New Years Jumpoff". Did Candy have too much to drink?... LMAO!
