Oh, if I thought it had a chance in hell to catch on, the only way to do it is big-time. Top 40 rock & roll radio.

(but I still doubt we'd get much listening- mono or not, it's still AM and I don't buy that because they heard it that way in 1965 it would be OK today.)

Yes, and the price KDAV charges for streaming listening is a joke. They charge $9.99 a month. For that much I can subscribe too satallite radio and get 150 stations. Well, if I wasn't already a XM and Sirius subscriber hehe.

An independenty owned local commercial station serving Boston's South Shore suburbs, with a fringe signal in the city and throughout the greater Boston area. Streams on the web as well.

Weekday daytime format is full-service gold-based AC with some pre-'64 oldies sprinkled in, and there are many great specialty oldies shows evenings, overnights and throughout the weekends, many focusing on pre-'64 Rock'n'Roll, R&B, and Doo-Wop. Check their website schedule.
 
Oh yes, I will give them a try. It looks like they have a lot of sweet programs and no consultants lurking in the shadows. I saw one guy who does a show from his basement. He does not have to worry about a consultant at all.

Re: Simulcasting On AM

In San Antonio, KONO simulcasts. I can not receive the FM here so I must listen to them on the heritage frequency of 860AM. And there is no other all oldies station that I can get here in town. I can only receive KONO during daylight hours.

Too bad they stopped playing fifties songs on KONO.

Absolutely. WLNG has some of that. Hits Of Yesteryear and Ricky The K bring back the sound from the sixties. I wish there were more doing it.

Although we consider ourselves to be "Jazzy Adult Standards," you'll hear songs by all those artists except Bobby Rydell on our station. It's closer to a "Pre-Beatles" MOR station. You'll also hear Brook Benton, Nat Cole, Bobby Darrin, Louis Armstrong, Peggy Lee, Frank Sinatra, etc. We also play a lot of themes from 1950's & 60's TV shows. People say they like it.

I don't know how it would look on the Windows Media Player though.

Thanks. In two years or so, you are the first to notice it, or at least to say anything about it. I have to admit I hadn't noticed it either.

I'll go about the adventure of finding out how to change that.
