Steve Harvey Gone from KDAY, 93.5 The Beat

He had to play Hip Hop & R&B currents because KKBT was a mainstream urban. I remember when he used to all the hip hop hits. The reason why he is playing adult R&B because his show is being piped from an urban ac station in New York called WBLS. That the same reason why he played adult R&B on KDAY and ruined it.SMH

The affliates dont have control over what Steve Harvey plays. KDAY only went after Harvey because of his name and his popularity in Los Angeles to bring in ratings. The show was made for Urban AC radio. Doug Banks and Russ Parr were on Mainstream Urban at the time Steve Harvey syndicated deal began. Premeire syndicates the show along with WBLS. I think I remeber them saying they are now broadcasting from Atlanta not sure. Steve has control of the music he plays which makes him happy. KDAY should have realized that when they picked him up.
 
Is Brian Bridgman still OM at KDAY?

Not sure with new management in control. I know A.D. is still the PD you can tell the difference in the music now. Im hearing stuff from 2006 on the station like Young Jock I know you see it and T Pain Buy you a drank not really Back in the Day since KIIS still has it in rotation.

KDAY doesn't sound any different than when they bought back the old school format. They're playing more 80's funk.
 
They just rotate the music log every other week thats all. I notice the remixes on the weekends sometime repeat. Still nice to hear wish they would get iphone app soon

He's wayyyy underground now.... and I think if he was here on a new ID some of us long timers here would certainly recognize him......
